Fleet lettering and fleet graphics in New Jersey

One spec, every truck, matched for years as the fleet grows.

A fleet that looks like one company is worth more than the sum of its trucks. Fleet programs exist so vehicle number twelve looks identical to vehicle number one, three years later.

Fleet graphics that match truck to truck

We start by setting a spec: approved layouts for each body type you run, exact colors, letter heights, placement measured off panel lines, and where the unit number and required legal identification live. That spec gets documented and stored, so no future decision is left to whoever is holding the squeegee. The same spec carries over to fleet wraps when a vehicle needs full coverage.

Rollouts get scheduled around your operations. We letter in batches at your yard, taking trucks in the order they are available, and we work early mornings, evenings or weekends when daytime downtime is not an option. For municipal and utility fleets we can work inside a garage.

Adding and retiring fleet vehicles

New additions are the real benefit. When a truck arrives, you call, we pull the stored spec, and the vehicle matches the rest of the fleet without another design conversation. Same when a truck leaves: removal is clean and the vehicle goes back to auction or lease return without ghosted graphics.

We keep unit numbering, DOT and license number blocks consistent across the fleet, and can add reflective elements where night-time visibility or job-site safety calls for it. Contractors, haulers, landscapers, waste companies and municipal departments across our eight counties run on this model.

How mobile lettering works

STEP 1

Call or send a photo

Tell us the vehicle, the wording and roughly when you need it. A photo of the truck answers most of our questions in one shot.

STEP 2

Approve the proof

We lay the design out on a template of your actual vehicle and send it back for approval. Nothing is cut until you say yes.

STEP 3

We come to you

We arrive at your yard or job site with everything needed, prep the panels and apply the graphics. Most jobs are done while the truck stays parked at your yard.

Fleet lettering questions

How many trucks make a fleet program worthwhile?

Three or more, or any operation that adds a vehicle every year or two.

Can you work outside business hours?

Yes. Off-hours and weekend batches are common for fleets that cannot spare daytime downtime.

Will a truck added in two years still match?

That is the point of the stored spec — same layout, same colors, same placement.

Do you handle municipal fleets?

Regularly, including public works, waste and emergency service vehicles.

How many vehicles make a fleet?

Anything from two upwards benefits from a held spec. The scheduling advantages start to matter at about five.

Can you letter vehicles at different yards?

Yes. We can work across sites in one trip if they are reasonably close, or split across days.

What if we change our branding later?

We re-spec once and roll it out as vehicles come due, so you are not paying to re-letter a whole fleet in one week unless you want to.

How a fleet lettering program works

A fleet program means we hold the specification for your vehicles — layout, colors, film, sizes and placement — so the truck you add in three years matches the one we lettered today without anyone redesigning anything.

Fleets drift. A vehicle gets lettered by whoever was available that month, the logo is a slightly different size, the phone number moves, and after a few years the fleet reads as several small companies rather than one. That drift is invisible truck by truck and obvious in a parking lot.

Holding the spec fixes it cheaply. We keep the artwork, the material, the measurements from the body lines, and the mounting positions. Adding a vehicle becomes a production job rather than a design job, which is faster and costs less.

Scheduling matters as much as design for a working fleet. We book larger fleets across consecutive days so you never have more than one or two vehicles out of service at once, and we can work around your quietest day of the week.

How we do it at your location

Mobile lettering means the sign shop travels instead of the vehicle. We cut and prepare the graphics before we leave, then apply them at your yard, driveway or job site — so the truck is off the road for hours rather than days.

The order matters more than most people expect. Everything that can be done away from your vehicle is done first: the layout is proofed, the film is printed or cut, and the panels are weeded and taped ready to hang. That is the slow part, and it happens at the shop.

What happens at your address is the part that needs the vehicle present — cleaning and de-greasing the panels, positioning and hinging the graphics, squeegeeing them down, trimming around handles, rivets and body lines, and post-heating the edges so they stay put. How long it takes depends on the vehicle and how much goes on it, and we give you an estimate with the quote.

Temperature is the one thing that can move a booking. Vinyl adhesive needs the panel warm enough to bond properly, so in deep winter we work around the weather rather than through it. If a job cannot be done safely outdoors on the day, we say so rather than applying film that will lift in a month.

    • Send photos of the vehicle and the wording you want.
    • We proof the layout on your actual vehicle, not a generic outline.
    • You approve it — nothing is cut before you do.
    • We come to you; the panels are cleaned and the film applied.
    • The truck stays at your yard while we work.
