Since 1940 we have served the surrounding counties by making our customers’ lives easy: we come to them. We understand it is not always possible to drop a vehicle off and be without your equipment for a day, so we removed that problem entirely.
Our shop is at 95 W Main St in Chester, Morris County, which puts us within easy reach of most of northern and western New Jersey. We letter trucks in driveways in Bergen County, at municipal garages in Essex County, on quarry sites in Warren County and at farm sheds in Hunterdon County. If you are near the edge of the map, call and ask — we travel further than most people expect.

How mobile lettering works
STEP 1
Call or send a photo
Tell us the vehicle, the wording and roughly when you need it. A photo of the truck answers most of our questions in one shot.
STEP 2
Approve the proof
We lay the design out on a template of your actual vehicle and send it back for approval. Nothing is cut until you say yes.
STEP 3
We come to you
We arrive at your yard or job site with everything needed, prep the panels and apply the graphics. Most jobs are done while the truck stays parked at your yard.

Is there a travel charge?
No. Travel within our eight-county service area is included in the price.
My town is not listed. Do you cover it?
Probably. The listed towns are where we work most often, not a boundary. Call 973-214-2292 and ask.
Can you letter several trucks in one visit?
Yes, and it is the cheapest way to do it. Batch scheduling is standard for fleets.
Do you work outside business hours?
For fleets and municipal work, yes — early mornings, evenings and weekends can be arranged.
Do you charge for travel?
Not within the eight counties we cover. Travel inside the normal working radius is part of how we operate, not a line on the bill.
Will you come out for one vehicle?
Yes. Single vehicles are the majority of what we do.
What if I am just outside your area?
Ask. The radius is a normal working day, not a fence, and larger jobs justify a longer drive.
Can you do it at my house?
Usually, if there is space to work around the vehicle and somewhere out of the wind. A driveway is often easier than a busy yard.
How far ahead do I need to book?
A single vehicle is often within the week once the proof is approved. Fleets are scheduled around your operation.

Eight counties, covered on a normal schedule
We cover Morris, Essex, Bergen, Union, Somerset, Warren, Sussex and Hunterdon counties. Travel inside that area is included in the price — there is no separate call-out charge and no minimum job size to get us to come.
The counties are not all alike, and the work reflects that. The dense commercial counties in the east are mostly customer-facing vehicles with limited yard space. The rural north-west is excavation, agriculture and contractors, where the nearest fixed sign shop is far enough away that driving to it costs a working day. Mobile lettering makes sense in both, for opposite reasons.
Each county below has its own page, and beneath it a page for every town we work in regularly. If your town is not listed, it does not mean we will not come — call and ask.
What a mobile sign shop needs from your site
Somewhere to park the vehicle out of the wind, a reasonably level surface, and access to the panels being lettered. Power helps and is usually not essential — the truck carries its own.
Weather is the only genuine constraint, and it is about the panel rather than the forecast. Vinyl adhesive needs a surface warm enough to grab. In a New Jersey January that can mean working inside a bay, scheduling the warmest part of the day, or moving the job. We would rather move a job than apply film that will lift in April.
We work in yards, on driveways, in parking lots, on construction sites and in customers’ own bays. The most common setting by a distance is a contractor’s yard first thing in the morning, before the vehicles go out.
- Space to work around the vehicle — roughly a parking bay’s width on the side being lettered.
- A spot out of direct wind. A yard corner, the lee of a building or an open bay all work.
- Panels that are not frozen or soaking. We can wash and dry them; we cannot warm an entire truck.
- Somebody who can approve placement on the day, or a signed-off proof so nobody has to.
- Vehicles unloaded enough that ladders, racks and equipment are not covering the panels.
Why the county page is worth reading
Because the practical detail differs. Travel time, what kind of vehicles dominate, which trades we see most and where the traffic makes morning starts sensible all change across the eight counties, and the county pages say so.
A landscaping fleet in Sussex County and a plumbing outfit in Union County want different things from the same service, and it is not just the design. Route timings differ, yard sizes differ, and the mix of equipment differs — trailers and mowers in one, vans and box trucks in the other.
